June sees the bounty of great apples continue. We're drying big juicy pink lady's from Batlow and some nice grannies as well. Pears are still ticking over, and we have the last of the pineapples dried and added to our bags.
We've just finished a batch of yellow kiwi fruit, which we always leave just a little sticky, so they last longer to chew on!
The last couple of weeks we have been trying out some Fuyu, the less astringent variety of persimmon. Unlike the Hachiya, Fuyu's can be eaten while they are still firm (because of their low astringency), making them perfect for slicing and drying! You'll find them in our 100g bags during June, along with all the other autumn delights!
